Job Summary/Duties
This position is in Pike, Bullock and Macon Counties Child/Adolescent Programs and requires that the counselor attend scheduled court hearings, review court dockets, present written and oral clinical information on each case, supply documentation to JPO, JC Judge and/or DHR, attend and participate in Multi-Needs teams, other joint agency staffing/teams as needed, and coordinate referrals/placements to other entities for assessments/treatment.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Behavioral Science who;
a. has completed a successful clinically related practicum as a part of the requirements for the degree or;
b. has completed six (6) months postmaster’s level clinical experience supervised by a Master’s Level or above clinician with two (2) years of postgraduate clinical experience as described in DMH Standards.
2. Training/experience in counseling individuals, families and groups, with emphasis on mentally ill adults.
3. License eligibility preferred.
4. Must have a driver's license with a clear driving record.
5. Must pass the drug screen.
Experience
- Psychological, social and behavioral assessment training/skills.
- Training/experience in crisis intervention techniques.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
