Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team for both day and overnight shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the premises, managing access control, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your ability to remain alert, professional, and proactive during all shift hours will be critical in protecting personnel, property, and assets.
Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas regularly during day and overnight hours to ensure the safety and security of all personnel and property
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity or potential threats
- Control access points by verifying identification, issuing passes, and maintaining accurate visitor logs
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies with appropriate action and clear communication
- Utilize conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle tense situations effectively
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary until emergency services arrive
- Collaborate with law enforcement when incidents require external response or investigation
- Conduct routine inspections and security checks to prevent theft, vandalism, or safety hazards
- Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
Qualifications & Standards
- Minimum of 5 years of continuous experience in security, military, or law enforcement roles
- Must currently possess a valid Armed Security Guard license through CLEET or the ability to immediately transfer and meet Oklahoma armed security licensing requirements
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check in accordance with Oklahoma State Police, CLEET, and federal requirements
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance for both day and overnight shifts
- Ability to pass a physical fitness test and meet the physical demands of the role
- Strong situational awareness and ability to remain alert during extended shifts
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR preferred
- Experience with surveillance systems, access control, and standard security protocols preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear, detailed reports
- Executive Protection experience preferred
Work Schedule
- Day and overnight shifts available
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Pay: $22.50 - $27.00 per hour
