Litigation Paralegal
Law Offices of Ali & Associates, P.A. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation, including drafting legal documents, preparing cases for hearings and trial, managing case deadlines, and assisting with legal research and brief writing.
This position requires excellent writing skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case intake through trial and post-trial matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and assist with legal writing projects
- Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, witness files, and case summaries
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials
- Monitor and maintain court deadlines, scheduling orders, and filing requirements
- File documents with immigration and federal courts
- Prepping clients for trial
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
- Communicate professionally with clients and courts
- Draft client correspondence and provide case status updates as directed by attorneys
- Enter and maintain accurate information in the firm's case management system
- Assist with general legal and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior paralegal experience in a litigation setting required
- Experience preparing cases for trial
- Strong legal drafting and writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with federal court procedures
- Experience in immigration litigation, federal court litigation a plus, but not required
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
- Experience working with diverse populations is a plus
