The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Senior Analyst - Optime/Anesthesia.
The Epic Senior Analyst - Optime/Anesthesia initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.

Serves as a primary support contact for application end ‐ users.
Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
Participates in on-call rotations and support and attend and participate s in, applicable committees.
Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Remains knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
The Epic Senior Analyst – OpTime/Anesthesia serves as a senior-level subject matter expert responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, support, and ongoing maintenance of Epic OpTime and Anesthesia applications.
Leads the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Epic OpTime and Anesthesia applications to align with organizational, regulatory, and clinical requirements.
Serves as a primary escalation point and application support resource for end users, resolving complex issues and ensuring timely service restoration.
Conducts workflow analysis and assesses the impact of application changes on clinical and operational processes to ensure alignment with best practices.
Leads application upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and optimization efforts, including planning, build, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Develops and maintains system design documentation, workflow diagrams, testing scripts, change records, and other project-related artifacts.
Oversees and executes all phases of testing, including functional, application, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing, while ensuring accurate documentation of test results.
Identifies system issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement and drives resolution through collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Provides guidance and mentorship to junior analysts by supporting ticket resolution, build activities, workflow analysis, data requests, and operational responsibilities.
Partners with training and operational teams to develop educational materials, communication plans, and training strategies related to new functionality and system enhancements.
Ensures applications comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, security standards, and best practice recommendations.
Participates in project planning, governance activities, committees, and workgroups as a subject matter expert representing the OpTime and Anesthesia applications.
Maintains effective communication with team members, project stakeholders, leadership, and operational partners regarding project status, risks, issues, and priorities.
Participates in on-call support rotations and provides after-hours support for critical incidents, upgrades, go-lives, and maintenance activities as required.
Remains current on Epic functionality, healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to promote continuous improvement and innovation.
