Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings and flavor combinations to enhance customer offerings
- Ensure consistency in food production by adhering strictly to recipe guidelines and portion sizes
- Manage high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Support the team with food service duties, including plating, garnishing, and serving pizzas to guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering assistant is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment like ovens, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on quality control and recipe adherence
- Prior experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
