Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Prepare financial reports for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Assist with strategic planning, cost control, and operational improvements
- Ensure timely filing of tax reports and regulatory documents
- Maintain accounting systems and recommend process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Can not work for other companies at the same time while employed with Cascade Services
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
