Job description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with attention to detail and a strong work ethic for a 110 unit complex. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience in multi-family property maintenance and be able to work autonomously and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas and keep the community a comfortable place to live. 30% housing discount for employees that live onsite.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs and be able to diagnose issues with common household appliances.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (replace locks, lightbulbs, etc.)
- Perform quality turns on vacant unit within a reasonable timeframe
- Complete work orders
- Maintain optimal curb appeal for grounds and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Skills
- 1 Year experience as maintenance technician, those applying without required experience will not be considered.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and painting
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to climb up to 2 flights of stairs and lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Willing to be on call and work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is a plus
- MUST have a valid drivers license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
