We are hiring for Part-time Host/Hostess to join our Food Services Department.
POSITION PURPOSE:
To maintain clean and re-set tables and work areas in an orderly manner in order to maintain smooth function of the Food room.
ESSENTIAL DUTITIES:

At beginning of meal, maintain the dining room by organizing all tables; making sure it is clean and clutter-free.

Assign workstations in Main Dining Room

Arrive in proper, clean and pressed uniforms.

Check with Dining Room Supervisor for task assignments and side work.

Find coverage for call offs.

Know major ingredients of food items being served during the current meal period.

Check all reset carts and/or stations for supplies. Replenish as needed.

Check and log on to all refrigerator and freezer temperatures.

Oversee all catering events set-up and clean up after event.

Seat Community members during mealtimes,
-
Write the meal of the day on the menu board.

Know correct method for loading and carrying trays.

Keep tables reset as quickly as possible. Reset one table at a time. Clear one table-set at a time.

May be asked to help maintain Salad Bars during the meal periods, deliver orders, assist servers, and help deliver trays on an as needed basis.

Attend scheduled training and employee meetings.

Must have positive and pleasant attitude and enjoy working with people.

Check with Dining Room Manager before leaving at end of shift.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Part-time PM Shift: Friday- Sunday
Hours: 10:30am-6:45pm
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Moderate to heavy physical conditions. On feet most of the time. Involves walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching and handling. Involves heavy lifting and carrying of over 50lbs. Some exposure to uncomfortable temperatures or odors.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Requires the ability to understand oral and written instruction

Work involves simple repetitive duties clearly defined as standard procedure

Ability to read and understand chemical and/or cleaning product label instructions.

Job role requires interaction with staff, other departments and community members. Requires courtesy and basic tact to maintain positive relationships.
