What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operate advanced treatment and simulation equipment safely and skillfully.
- Prepare and administer prescribed doses of radiation following all policies and standards.
- Review patient prescriptions and diagnoses to ensure every treatment is on point.
- Act as a key link between physicians, patients, and the care team.
- Report any concerns or complications quickly to the Radiation Oncologist.
- Keep detailed, accurate treatment records for every patient, every time (because details matter).
- Prepare and set up immobilization and protection devices for safe treatments.
- Help troubleshoot issues and call in reinforcements when needed — teamwork makes the dream work!
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
- Licensed Radiation Therapist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong technical know-how, organizational skills, and a heart for excellent patient care.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills — you can juggle details and support patients with heart.
- Solid computer skills and a love for learning new technology.
What to Expect Physically:
- You'll need the physical ability to work with equipment, move around a clinical environment, and stay detail-focused.
- Technical knowledge of Radiation Therapy equipment, physics and radiation safety
