Seeking a trauma-informed therapist to join a small Asheville-based private practice as an independent contractor.
Looking for someone who is:
- An LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT in NC (fully licensed or provisionally licensed and close to full licensure)
- Trauma-informed and relational in their work
- Trained in EMDR and/or IFS (or currently pursuing training)
- Interested in depth work, nervous system work, attachment, parts work, and helping clients create real change and not just surface-level coping skills
- Comfortable working with adults; couples/famliy experience is a plus
- Warm, grounded, authentic, and easy to connect with
The practice is a good fit for someone who values meaningful work, autonomy, and a more genuine, non-cookie-cutter approach to therapy.
Schedule would include:
- 1–2 in-person days/week in Asheville
- Virtual sessions the remainder of the week
- Flexible scheduling and gradual caseload building available
Current practice accepts both private pay and insurance clients (BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna).
Compensation:
- 60/40 split to start
- Moving to 65/35 after one year
Please note that building a caseload takes time, so this is likely best suited for someone who has the financial flexibility to grow steadily over the first several months.
I’m also happy to support newer clinicians or those wanting to eventually build their own practice. Monthly mentoring/consultation meetings are available for anyone interested in growing clinically, building confidence, or learning more about private practice setup and sustainability.
This would likely be a particularly good fit for someone who resonates with modalities like EMDR, IFS/parts work, EFT, attachment-focused therapy, somatic work, or experiential approaches.
