Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, bilingual (English/Spanish) undergraduate student pursuing a pre-med or health-science degree who is eager to gain first-hand experience in a modern, fast-paced clinical environment.
As part of the front desk team, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, helping ensure a seamless experience from scheduling to follow-up. This position provides a strong foundation for students planning to apply to medical school or other healthcare programs.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients and families with professionalism and warmth.
- Manage scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain accurate digital records through our EMR system.
- Coordinate with providers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as lab orders, forms, and documentation requests.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate pre-med, psychology, biology, or related program.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to commute to South Miami (in-person position).
- Prior experience in a healthcare or office setting is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus; training will be provided.
