New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc. is growing its counseling services and is currently seeking licensed clinicians for the 2026-2027 school year. Get ahead of the rush! Cases are assigned over the summer so you can start September with a full caseload and a strong start.
We’re currently building our network across the following locations:
- Manhattan (Upper West Side - zip codes are 10023, 10024, 10025 & 10069).
- Brooklyn (Midwood, Sheepshead Bay, Flatlands, Marine Park, Bergen Beach & Georgetown - zip codes are 11210, 11229, 11230 & 11235). School types are Public Schools, Private Schools, Catholic Schools and Yeshivas.
- Queens (Forest Hills, Rego Park, Kew Gardens).
Position Summary:
- Provide counseling services to preschool and school-age students in school, home, or community settings.
- Provide mandated services to assigned children on caseload in compliance with IEP documents.
- Work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP services.
- Help students assess the academic environment and participate to maximum extent possible in educationally related activities.
- Be responsible for treating students, maintaining daily progress, attendance records and writing progress reports.
Requirements:
- NYS Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) only.
- Candidates must have (or be willing to obtain) DOE fingerprinting.
- Availability to work in schools and during school hours.
- Must not be currently employed directly by the NYC DOE (must be at least one year removed).
- Bilingual providers are encouraged to apply and must have the appropriate bilingual extension or exam credentials.
