Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Acupuncturist to join our Gentle Wellness Center team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of traditional acupuncture techniques combined with modern medical knowledge to provide comprehensive patient care. As an Acupuncturist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering safe, effective acupuncture therapies aimed at alleviating pain and promoting overall wellness. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through holistic healing practices. This position will start out as a 1099 contractor position, 1 day a week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and evaluation of medical history, to determine suitability for acupuncture treatment.
- Develop individualized treatment plans targeting specific conditions such as acute pain, musculoskeletal issues, or chronic ailments.
- Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile techniques and precise needle placement to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Utilize specialized therapies such as trigger point therapy to address muscle tension and pain management.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment procedures, and self-care practices to support ongoing health improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment responses, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and aseptic technique to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and integrate acupuncture into broader treatment plans.
Experience
- Proven experience in acupuncture practice with a focus on acute pain management and trigger point therapy.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acupuncture treatments.
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations effectively.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and education.
- Prior experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification or licensure in acupuncture is required; additional credentials in pain management are advantageous.
