Minders Community Services Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate individual to serve in a combined role as an Office Support Assistant and Direct Support Professional (DSP).
The selected candidate will provide administrative support in the Virginia office during designated daytime hours and work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities during morning and/or evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Office Support Duties
- Provide general administrative and clerical support.
- Answer telephone calls and respond professionally to inquiries.
- Organize client and staff records while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist with scheduling, filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Track staff documentation, training requirements, and outstanding paperwork.
- Communicate with families, staff, support coordinators, and management.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and other daily office operations.
- Maintain an organized and professional office environment.
Direct Support Professional Duties
- Provide individualized support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
- Assist with clients daily routines, personal care, meal preparation, and daily living activities, as authorized.
- Support clients with communication, safety awareness, community participation, and independence-building skills.
- Provide supervision and assistance according to each individual’s ISP and assessed needs.
- Transport or accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings when required.
- Complete accurate service notes, electronic visit verification, and other required documentation promptly.
- Follow all health, safety, medication, incident-reporting, and emergency procedures.
- Promote dignity, choice, independence, and community inclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant administrative experience preferred.
- At least one year of office, administrative, caregiving, behavioral health, or developmental-disability experience preferred.
- Must be dependable, organized, professional, and able to work independently.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete documentation accurately.
- Must be available to provide DSP coverage during morning and evening hours.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record required.
- Must pass all required background checks and meet Virginia provider-training requirements.
- CPR/First Aid certification and TBT is preferred or must be obtained upon hire.
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal-care needs, where applicable.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
