<Responsibilities>
- Assist escrow officers in preparing and reviewing loan documents, contracts, and closing disclosures, ensuring all paperwork aligns with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements.
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and clients to gather necessary documentation for loan processing and underwriting.
- Verify borrower information through credit analysis and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations during the transaction process.
- Manage escrow accounts by accurately handling deposits, disbursements, and reconciling accounts using basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency.
- Support loan origination activities by facilitating communication between all parties involved in the mortgage servicing process.
- Maintain detailed records of all escrow transactions, contracts, and correspondence for audit purposes.
- Assist in loan processing tasks such as reviewing financial documents, performing credit analysis, and preparing reports for underwriters.
<Requirements>
- Proven experience in mortgage servicing, loan origination, or related financial services roles; prior loan officer experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and TILA regulations to ensure compliance throughout transactions.
- Familiarity with escrow processes, mortgage contracts, banking procedures, and fair housing laws.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files accurately under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations, 10-key typing speed, and attention to detail for precise data entry and account reconciliation.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and internal teams.
