Overview
Palm Coast Pest Control is a family owned & operated pest control company located in Jupiter, FL - we have been serving the community for 35 years! We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wildlife Exclusion/Repair Service Technician to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and effective exclusion of wildlife from residential and commercial properties, along with performing necessary repairs to prevent future intrusions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or roofing related fields, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to responsible nuisance wildlife management. When you're not doing wildlife work, you will be performing a pest control technician role and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
- A successful Wildlife Service Technician needs to be motivated, energetic, and creative with outstanding communication skills
- You are self-motivated, driven, and enjoy working outdoors
- You do not mind rolling up your sleeves and getting dirty
- You are hands-on and have a basic knowledge of power tools
- You enjoy building relationships and creating a bond with people
- You have a creative approach to problem-solving
- You hold yourself to high standards
- Ability to become a licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator and Pesticide Applicator
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
- Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required
- Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with our great customers
Responsibilities
- This role is vital in ensuring the safe and effective exclusion of wildlife from residential and commercial properties, along with performing necessary repairs to prevent future intrusions
- Install preventative exclusion materials such as screens, chimney caps, vent covers, and other barriers to prevent wildlife access
- Conduct minor repairs to roofs, siding, foundations, and other areas where wildlife may gain entry
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and customer interactions
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse types of terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas, including heights over 30 feet.
What does a typical work day look like?
- Install preventative exclusion materials such as screens, chimney caps, vent covers, and other barriers to prevent wildlife access.
- Conduct minor repairs to roofs, siding, foundations, and other areas where wildlife may gain entry.
- Utilize trapping to mitigate rodent issues, and remove carcasses as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the following job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to drive to various locations, often covering large territories.
- Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse types of terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, rain etc.).
- Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders safely.
- Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend, and stretch frequently.
- Capability and desire to handle and dispose of dead and decaying wildlife, and dispose of in safe and effective manner.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Preferred candidates have wildlife, roofing, and/or experience working at heights.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
