Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented In-Home Care Provider to support clients with diverse healthcare needs within their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, including assisting with daily activities, and providing emotional support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized home healthcare assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, ensuring dignity and comfort for clients.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and accompaniment to appointments.
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing any changes and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Support clients with medication reminders following prescribed schedules and medical documentation protocols.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document care activities and patient information while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in home healthcare assistance or assisted living environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized caregiving techniques.
- Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for medical records management and documentation accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Valid certification in first aid and adherence to home health care regulations and safety standards.
