Job Summary
Ramcal Management/Realty Asset Management is the owner/operator of 13 hotels spread throughout California, 3 commercial office buildings, and several other investments holdings. We are seeking to add a Corporate Controller to our team, which is based in Los Angeles, California.
The Corporate Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and assist in the oversight of all Accounting and Financial matters, and the management of Accounting staff across all divisions. This candidate must demonstrate initiative , a collaborative leadership style and exceptional communication skills. This role will be ' hands-on' and must have multi-entity, full cycle Accounting knowledge and experience. This role will liaise with external and internal resources and must ensure that the company follows all reporting guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations across Accounting departments with a focus on improving processing efficiency and internal controls.
- Review month-end closing activities and financial reporting - to include extensive intercompany reconciliations across all divisions.
- Identify and implement FP&A tools to drive efficiencies in data reporting and analysis across the organization.
- Support CFO with handling data request for property insurance renewals and audits, IT consulting projects , state tax audits , bank/lender reporting requirements.
- Support organizational application development initiatives that pertain to Accounting and Financial reporting , including initiatives to progressively digitize data management and improve data analysis across the organization.
- Manage the asset capitalization (CIP) process including the review , capitalization and amortization of cost for all properties; assist with cost segregation analyses and identifying prospective asset tracking/management solutions.
- Assist with quarterly, annual and monthly tax filings - Federal and State - to include 1099-processing across organization and assisting with the annual compliance review; manage annual state licensing requirements and franchise tax reporting.
- Perform oversight of departmental SOP's to ensure a high level of quality including the documentation, implementation and adherence thereto; develop and document accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls and streamline processing efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA required.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting fundamentals (GAAP).
- Analytical skills with data management using Excel (advanced) required.
- Proficiency required with Accounting software ( Sage Intaact, Yardi Voyager, Quickbooks).
- Prior experience in Hospitality/Hotel Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing and presentations.
- Strong analytical skills with attention Industry and/or Real Estate management preferred.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills, with attention to details.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
