Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to support dining services at a small, all-women retirement community serving approximately 25 residents. Position Details
- Pay: $15.00 per hour
- Employment Type: Evaluation-to-hire (long-term opportunity)
- Schedule: Year-round position
- Start Date: Immediate openings available
- Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef and kitchen staff with the preparation and service of daily meals
- Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and portion control
- Support food quality standards and assist with basic inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and food preparation areas
- Adhere to all food safety and handling regulations
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment
Qualifications
- MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
- Previous cooking and/or housekeeping experience required
- Ability to accurately read and follow recipes
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Friendly, customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Dependable with excellent time management and attention to detail
