We offer competitive pay and benefits and are currently looking for a Commercial Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all commercial and utility-scale solar assets under the LightWave Solar portfolio. This role ensures maximum uptime, compliance, and performance through effective supervision of field technicians, documentation management, and client engagement. The position will require regular travel between commercial sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily operations of commercial O&M service activities, including PMs and corrective maintenance
- Schedule and assign technicians to service calls, ensuring adequate resource coverage
- Review monitoring data, field reports, and test results for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct on-site audits and inspections, verifying safety and performance standards
- Communicate with clients, asset managers, and third-party partners regarding site performance and corrective actions
- Coordinate RMA and warranty processes with manufacturers
- Mentor field staff and promote technical skill development
- Regular travel between commercial sites
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or equivalent technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of solar Commercial and/or Utility O&M experience
- 2–3 years in supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of commercial PV systems, inverters, and monitoring systems
- Proficient with test equipment (IV curve tracers, insulation testers, thermal cameras)
- Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills – both written and verbal
- As a condition of employment, qualified individual must pass a drug test and background check
- Individual must possess a valid driver’s license, suitable driving history and be insurable by Company’s insurance carrier
Preferred:
- NABCEP PV Installation or O&M Specialist Certification
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
- Experience with monitoring/ticketing platforms (AlsoEnergy, PowerTrack, SMA, Scoop)
- Familiarity with SCADA/DAS and utility interconnection systems
