Summary:
The Van Driver will provide transportation services to Tolleson Elementary School District students to and from school and other activities using a District vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
-
Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Class D License.

Submit to annual and random, Drug and Alcohol Testing.

Acceptable driving record for the last (3) three years.

Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required

Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred

Essential Functions /Performance Responsibilities:

Transports students to and from school and other activities using a school van.

Supervises student conduct and maintains safety at all times.

Reports undisciplined students to proper authority and fills out required forms.

Follows established directions for breakdowns and emergencies.

Reports all accidents to proper authority and completes related reports.

Maintains accurate written records as required.

Performs mandatory pre-trip inspections.

Maintains a clean District vehicle.

Maintains an awareness of unusual noises or conditions of vehicle, and reports such to fleet maintenance staff.

Observes all mandatory driving safety regulations.

Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.

Work Environment
This position typically requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
This position also requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and able to drag up to 125 lbs. Physically able to assist in lifting wheelchairs and students.
Work is performed both in indoors and outdoors environments.
