Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm
Hourly Range: $18.00-$21.00 per hour based on experience

What You’ll Do and Why it Matters:

As a Career Coach supporting vocational training, you’ll provide hands-on coaching, instruction, and encouragement to help individuals build workplace skills and confidence. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- Provide individualized job coaching at community businesses, helping individuals develop technical and interpersonal skills through training approaches tailored to their learning style, abilities, and support needs.
- Teach workplace skills through classroom-style instruction on workplace expectations, communication, professionalism, safety, and the appropriate use of supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Encourage career exploration by helping individuals discover competitive employment opportunities that align with their interests, skills, abilities, and personal goals.
- Support individualized goals by contributing to service plans, documenting observations, assessing employability skills, and identifying barriers and strategies for successful employment.
- Build confidence and independence by providing encouragement, feedback, and hands-on support as individuals learn new skills and navigate workplace environments.
- Promote workplace success by helping individuals develop the skills and behaviors needed to succeed in competitive employment and participate more fully in their communities.
- Provide transportation support by transporting individuals to base locations and worksites using company vehicles as assigned.
- Make a lasting impact by helping individuals discover their strengths, build valuable skills, and take meaningful steps toward greater independence and employment.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- People-focused communicator who can coach, motivate, and build strong relationships
- Problem-solver & self-starter who works well independently and adapts quickly
- Strongly organized with the ability to manage documentation, deadlines, and multiple priorities
- Comfortable with technology including Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Positive, professional, and dependable with a passion for helping others succeed
- Strong coaching and training skills with the ability to support individuals with different learning styles and needs
- Community-minded relationship builder who enjoys connecting with employers and community partners
- Experience providing employment services to individuals with disabilities is a plus
Requirements:
- Must submit to BCII/FBI background checks and Nurse Aide & Abuser Registry checks.
- Must maintain American Red Cross or equivalent First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid State of Ohio driver's license and ability to meet ARC Voyagers' insurability standards.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must complete required DODD training upon hire.
- Must obtain and maintain a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential or obtain the credential within 12 months of hire, as assigned.
- Must obtain Working Incentive Planning certification within the first six months of employment, as assigned.
- Physical exam may be required based on job assignment.
