Position Summary
Saint Bonaventure High School is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and collaborative STEP Coordinator to support the successful implementation and day-to-day coordination of the STEP program.
The STEP Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for students, families, and school personnel. This position is responsible for coordinating the program, supporting participant engagement and success, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that STEP services are delivered in an organized, responsive, and mission-aligned manner.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to serving students and families within the mission and values of SBHS.
Essential Responsibilities:
Program Coordination
- Coordinate the daily operations and activities of the STEP students.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, families, and school personnel.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, orientations, workshops, events, and other STEP activities.
- Ensure that program activities are organized, timely, and responsive to participant needs.
- Support the implementation of program policies, procedures, and goals.
- Identify operational challenges and work with leadership to develop effective solutions.
Student and Family Support
- Establish positive, professional relationships with students and families.
- Provide ongoing communication, encouragement, and support to STEP participants.
- Monitor student participation, engagement, attendance, and progress.
- Identify barriers that may affect student success and connect students and families with appropriate resources and services.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up with internal and external support services when appropriate.
- Maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Documentation and Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records, case notes, attendance, and program documentation.
- Track participant enrollment, participation, services, and outcomes.
- Assist with required reports, data collection, audits, and program evaluations.
- Ensure documentation is completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with ADLA policies and applicable confidentiality requirements.
Program Development and Evaluation
- Assist program leadership with assessing participant and program needs.
- Collect and organize data to help evaluate STEP effectiveness and participant outcomes.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve program services and participant experiences.
- Assist with the development and implementation of program materials, resources, and activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and other ADLA activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with students, families, youth, young adults, or community-based programs.
- Experience coordinating programs, services, events, or participant activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with google suite and common administrative technology.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
