About the Role: Are you a passionate and skilled dental assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to support specialists across multiple locations? We are seeking a Traveling Specialty Dental Assistant to provide top-notch care in Oral Surgery. In this role, you will help deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and create Patients for Life (PFL) by assisting clinicians in providing high-quality treatments. Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to multiple dental offices as assigned to assist in Oral Surgery, Periodontics, or Orthodontics.
- Assist clinicians with examinations and procedures, ensuring a seamless workflow.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per state infection control guidelines.
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral images as needed.
- Ensure the operatory is fully stocked and set up for procedures.
- Support patient care by documenting treatment notes and medical history.
- Collaborate with front office and back office teams to maintain efficient scheduling and operations.
- Participate in daily huddles and monthly team meetings to align with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
- Maintain professionalism and uphold company values at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Certification, licensure, or registration as required by state regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel between multiple locations per day as needed.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and technology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to different team dynamics.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a specialty setting.
- Experience with digital radiography and electronic patient charting.
- Familiarity with orthodontic, periodontal, or oral surgery procedures.
