Formaggio Kitchen has been an institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts for nearly 50 years – a gourmand’s paradise doubling as a neighborhood grocer. Formaggio Kitchen's produce department works with many small farms within New England and nationally. We focus on organic and sustainably grown fruits and vegetables, and work hard to source the best produce available and sell it in the best condition possible.
Typical daily tasks include stocking, culling, receiving deliveries, placing orders, and assisting customers with produce questions.
Qualities we are looking for:

- Loves providing exceptional customer service
- Understanding of food handling and food safety regulations and expectations
- Shrewd decision making and creative problem solving, to keep produce loss low and displays bountiful
- Conscientious and hands-on, placing orders accurately and successfully
- Good aesthetic sense and merchandising
This can be a full-time or part-time position. This is a very physically demanding position - must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
COMPENSATION: This position is hourly non-exempt, varies depending on experience $17 - 19/hr
