Functional Medicine Provider (MD, DO, APRN, PA) – Florida (Remote/Hybrid)

Job Description
A Peaceful Mind Counseling Group is seeking an experienced and patient-centered Functional Medicine Provider to join our growing multidisciplinary team serving clients throughout Florida. This position is available remotely, with optional in-person opportunities through our Fort Myers office.
Our practice specializes in providing comprehensive, personalized care that addresses the root causes of physical and mental health concerns. We take an integrative approach that combines functional medicine, mental health treatment, nutritional support, laboratory analysis, genomic testing, and lifestyle interventions to help clients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.
Unlike traditional medical settings, we are a private-pay practice, allowing our providers to focus on delivering exceptional care rather than navigating insurance requirements, prior authorizations, and excessive administrative burdens. Our team is committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, and preventing provider burnout.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive functional medicine evaluations and health assessments.
- Review and interpret advanced laboratory testing, including hormone, metabolic, inflammatory, nutritional, and specialty functional medicine panels.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based functional and integrative medicine principles.
- Provide guidance regarding nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle modification, and preventive health strategies.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric providers, and other members of the treatment team to support whole-person wellness.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Educate clients on the underlying contributors to chronic symptoms and long-term health optimization.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Florida license as one of the following:
- Medical Doctor (MD)
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/NP)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Ability to practice independently within Florida scope-of-practice requirements.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting laboratory results.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for patient education.
Preferred:
- Functional Medicine training, certification, or significant clinical experience.
- Experience with integrative medicine, preventive medicine, hormone optimization, nutritional medicine, longevity medicine, or lifestyle medicine.
- Familiarity with genomic testing, specialty laboratory testing, and supplement protocols.
- Interest in collaborating with mental health professionals as part of a comprehensive treatment team.
