Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and calculus, and applying fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe and effective treatment planning.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
- Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring all dental equipment is prepared and sterilized according to infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Dentrix), documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support infection prevention management through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to healthcare infection control guidelines.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix for managing patient records and documentation review.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and pediatric patient care best practices is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care procedures.
- Experience performing dental x-ray procedures (dental imaging) with proficiency in X-ray safety standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, providing clear client communication and education.
- Demonstrated commitment to HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
