Field Inspector – Skilled Trades

About Us Easy Stay Homes manages 100+ furnished rentals across Metro Detroit. We're fast-growing, high-standard, and non-corporate. Every unit we operate is one we built — and we hold them to a hospitality standard, not a landlord standard.
The Role You'll be the last set of eyes on every property before a guest checks in. When something isn't right, you fix it on the spot. This is not a general handyman role — we are specifically hiring someone with 5+ years of hands-on experience in at least one skilled trade.
Required: 5+ years in at least one of the following
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Carpentry
- General property maintenance
What You'll Do
- Conduct detailed inspections using checklists and photo documentation
- Perform on-site repairs using your trade expertise — no second dispatch
- Handle general maintenance: paint touch-ups, hardware, doors, outlets, drains, drywall, appliances, fixtures
- Troubleshoot HVAC, appliances, Wi-Fi, and smart-home issues
- Verify cleanliness, staging, and inventory before every check-in
- Represent Easy Stay professionally with guests, neighbors, and vendors
Requirements
- 5+ years hands-on experience in at least one skilled trade (required — verified in interview)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Sunday availability — NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Available 6 days/week
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and drive between properties daily
- Smartphone proficient for apps, photos, and communication
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000/year
- Company vehicle after probationary period

- W-2 or 1099 — discussed at offer
