Job Summary
We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our growing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and be proficient with Solidworks. This role involves designing parts and equipment using Soldiworks 3D CAD software. The mechanical engineer will play a crucial role in the development of solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Develop, design, and detail projects for the food industry
- Complete cost estimates and manufacturing routing
- Collaborate with customers on testing and approvals
- Prepare technical and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks
- Oversee the execution of assigned projects and resolve manufacturing challenges
- Perform additional duties as requested and assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably equipment manufacturing or sheet metal
Preferred skills and experience
- Experience in CAD software is essential; proficiency with Solidworks is preferred
- Experience with all Microsoft Office Software
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, forming, welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively while managing time effectively
- Strong communication skills
