Causwells is seeking a talented and energetic server for our high volume restaurant in Menlo Park. We offer a relaxed social dining experience while maintaining a high level of service. This role is perfect for a hospitality professional passionate about providing exceptional service in a dynamic restaurant environment. As a server, you’ll create memorable guest experiences, work seamlessly with your team, and support restaurant operations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service by anticipating guest needs and delivering a warm, welcoming experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and pairing recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar to ensure order accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in keeping the dining area clean, organized, and properly set for service.
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and supportive work environment.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Support restaurant operations by assisting with side work, restocking, and closing duties.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a guest-facing hospitality role REQUIRED.
- Strong passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations..
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues with poise and professionalism.
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to assist team members as needed.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members effectively.
- Focus on maintaining high service standards and ensuring the quality of the guest experience.
Physical, & Schedule Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including long hours on your feet, and the ability to lift and transport heavy items as needed
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
