KITCHEN MANAGER
The Chick-fil-A Greengate Centre Kitchen Manager is a key leadership role responsible for kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, cleanliness and efficiency. They will assist the Director in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork and will also manage, anticipate, identify and correct any issues with food quality, inventory, systems and staffing.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures Food Safety:

Follow all food safety guidelines as outlined in Chick-fil-A food safety training and follow all health department codes

Ensure all kitchen systems are being utilized
Maintains Back of House Equipment and Cleanliness:
-
Assist with preventative maintenance
-
Ensure all equipment is in working order and safe to operate
-
Maintain safe working conditions
-
Provide Owner with list of parts for repairs
-
Order small wares
-
Strong focus on back of house cleanliness
Assists with Inventory Control Cost and Food Cost:
-
Assist with placing orders and maintaining inventory in the store
-
Utilize and innovate kitchen systems to reduce and minimize waste
-
Maintain target food cost
-
Prepare monthly inventory and transfers and fill out transfer log
-
Ensure all shelves are kept clean, neat, and organized
Responsible for Quality and Consistency:
-
Adhere to all Chick-fil-A standards for all products as outlined in the Operational Requirements Guide

Work directly with Training Director and Kitchen Director regarding quality standards and new product roll out

Resolve food quality issues
Oversee Back of House Staff and Ensure Accountability:

Ensure team members are always following proper policies and procedures
-
Assist on the line during peak periods / covering scheduling holes
-
Give feedback for annual team member assessments
-
Assist Training Director in team and leadership development in the kitchen
-
Work closely with Catering Director to maintain successful product and staff levels for all catering events/promotions/specials

Hold team members accountable and perform disciplinary actions as necessary

Attend meetings with kitchen leadership
-
Set the standard regarding accuracy, taste and presentation of food
-
Set the standard regarding speed of service
General Requirements:

Available to work a minimum of 40 hours a week

Open availability

Minimum two (2) years kitchen/leadership experience
-
Must be ServSafe Certified
-
Must attend 90% of scheduled meetings
-
No unpaid time off (unless emergency)
