Job Summary

Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining an organized workspace and proper storage of supplies
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling and sanitation of all items
- Help with meal assembly and plating under supervision to support culinary staff during busy service times
- Restock supplies and ensure all dishware and utensils are available for staff use
- Participate in cleaning schedules for kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, or culinary skills is a plus
- Familiarity with restaurant or catering environments enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Strong knife skills and basic meal preparation abilities are desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary operations
