We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate all aspects of concrete construction projects. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled workers, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality concrete work on schedule and within budget. Your leadership will drive project success from planning through execution, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of concrete workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to project specifications
- Pour concrete along side your team as needed. Finishing skills are a requirement.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide team activities accurately
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations at all times on the construction site
- Oversee quality control measures, inspecting work for accuracy and durability throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage materials procurement, including concrete mixes, reinforcement bars, formwork, and other supplies
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or HeavyBid, ensuring optimal resource allocation
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, safety reports, and project logs using Bluebeam or other construction management tools
- Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless workflow on site
- Conduct routine inspections with tools like ohmmeters for electrical components or other specialized equipment as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on concrete or heavy civil projects
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively on large-scale projects
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety
- Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring adherence to project specifications
- Skilled in using measurement tools like ohmmeters for electrical inspections or testing equipment relevant to construction projects
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members
