Job starts at Terminal Location: 566 Sam Houston Blvd, Dothan AL to drive to delivery area.
CDL License is NOT required nor will it be used for this job. Regular license only needed.
Clean Driving record - no accidents or major violations in last 10 yrs.
Must be 21 years old or older.
Must be able to pass drug test.
Must be able to pass background check.
Must be able to pass a DOT Medical/ Physical Exam
Legal status to work in the United States and complete E-Verify.
Work Hours- Arrive at the terminal at 8:30 am. Delivery completion depends on your route and how you run it, typically return around 5pm.
FULL TIME- Monday through Saturday with a day off at some point during the week for a total of 5 days.
Part time is FULL days, just less than 5 days a week.
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting packages safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to handle various driving tasks while being safe on the road. Candidates must be able to lift heavy packages and carry them to the front door with use of assistive devices such as hand trucks.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles (box truck typically) for the transportation of goods.
- Execute route driving to deliver products to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload materials using manual handling techniques and assistive devices.
- Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good working condition by performing regular inspections and reporting any issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist with moving items as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or as a van driver preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely.
- Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials.
- Ability to drive safely and deliver in all types of weather conditions.
