We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR systems.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring proper documentation through CPT coding and ICD coding procedures.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluation by interpreting lab results, radiology reports, and diagnostic tests like ultrasounds.
Qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas. Current NCCPA certification or equivalent required. Current DEA registration, if applicable to the position.
- Experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or a similar outpatient setting preferred.
- Comfortable evaluating and treating patients with multiple acute and chronic medical conditions. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to independently evaluate patients while working collaboratively with the supervising physician and healthcare team. Familiarity with X-ray, C-arm, and other diagnostic technologies is a plus.
- Experience with EMR systems; eClinicalWorks experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD-10 and CPT coding. Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, patient safety, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
