Job Summary
Looking for an interested candidate who has over 15 years experience with Road Paving and concrete - Curb - Gutter - Sidewalk and ADA ramp construction - Preferably looking for a retired Public Works Inspector.

Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, schematics, blueprints, and safety protocols.
- Monitor construction activities related to roads, pipelines, and other public infrastructure projects to maintain quality control standards.
- Review construction contracts and schematics to verify adherence to project specifications and technical requirements.
- Collect data during inspections, document progress, identify issues, and prepare detailed reports for project managers.
- Perform quality inspections at various stages of construction to detect defects or deviations from approved plans.
- Analyze construction processes and materials to recommend improvements or corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate inspections, schedule site visits, and ensure timely project delivery.
Skills
- Strong understanding of construction processes, site safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills for evaluating construction work against specifications and identifying potential issues early.
- Expert of paving with road paving equipment
- Expert of constructing ADA ramps
- Type 1 and type 2 slurry seal placement
- Experience in construction inspection or site supervision within public works or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of contracts management and compliance requirements related to public sector projects.
- Proficiency in data collection methods, report writing, and documentation standards.

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
