Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Septic Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining septic systems and wastewater treatment solutions in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will ensure the proper functioning of sanitary drainage systems, underground utilities, and water supply infrastructure, contributing to community health and environmental safety. Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install septic systems, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and underground utilities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for installation.
- Install pipe systems using pipe lasers and other tools to ensure precise alignment and slope for sewer lines, water supply systems, and utility trenching projects.
- Conduct site preparation activities including trenching, forming concrete structures, and setting pipe connections according to specifications.
- Use utility locating tools to identify underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents during construction.
- Adhere strictly to federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Perform welding, concrete finishing, plumbing tasks, and other related duties necessary for the successful completion of utility system installation projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks within a construction environment. Primarily Skid steers and Mini Excavators.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewer line installation, underground utilities installation, and water supply systems.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings related to septic system installation and construction plans.
- Familiarity with utility trenching techniques for stormwater management and underground utility placement.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol standards at all times.
- Skilled in using hand tools, pipe lasers, pipeline components, plumbing fixtures, welding equipment, concrete forming tools and other construction materials.
- Experience in oil & gas or similar industries involving pipeline installation is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining a focus on safety.
