Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our powersports shop. This role focuses primarily on welding and custom fabrication for ATVs, side-by-sides (SXS), and other off-road vehicles.
The ideal candidate has hands-on welding or fabrication experience, is comfortable working with tools, and takes pride in quality workmanship. Powersports or mechanical experience is a plus, but we are open to applicants with strong welding and fabrication skills who are willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding for custom powersports fabrication
- Fabricate custom cages and other off-road components
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials
- Weld tubing and piping in various positions and angles
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed
- Assist with mechanical repairs, powder coating, sandblasting, and other shop operations when needed
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Welding or fabrication experience preferred
- MIG welding experience preferred; TIG experience is a plus
- Hardwire MIG experience is a plus
- Experience welding tubing or piping at various angles is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure and take accurate measurements
- Basic math and mechanical skills
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn
- Powersports or mechanical repair experience is a plus
- Ability to lift materials and components as required
- A welding test will be provided during the interview process
Work Environment
This position involves working in a fabrication and powersports shop and may require standing for extended periods, lifting materials and components, and regularly using welding and fabrication equipment.
