Masis Staffing is seeking to fill 1st shift needs for a Material Handler in Amherst, NH $18.75. Flexibility to travel between Milford and Amherst a must.
Role of a Material Handler:
Organizes and transports production support material and equipment within the area of assignment. May use manual and powered material handling equipment and packaging equipment.
Job Responsibilities of a Material Handler:
- Responsible for performing verification & sign off on finished good pallets prior to moving and wrapping. Areas requiring verification include pallet quantities, part numbers, lot batches etc. as well as notifying Pack Lead or Supervisor of any discrepancy or inconsistency.
- Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks.
- Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal. Count items and audit for package/ shipping damage.
- Use material handling equipment such as manual pallet jacks and motorized pallet jacks, mobile scanning device, motorized power lift and some powered packing equipment such as banders and shrink wrappers.
- Maintain necessary records as required. Moves material as necessary in performance of duties. Cycle count as scheduled.
Job Requirements of a Material Handler:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- 6-12 months of experience material handling experience
- Experience using a scanning gun and understanding of BIN transfers
- Inventory Control experience
Hours and Compensation for Material Handler:
$18.75 - 8 hour shift
This is a temp- hire 30 day position. Work 30 days with the agency get hired on permanently with the company afterwards. Excellent company benefits upon hire.
