Waverley Council is seeking a customer- focused and community- minded Parking Officers to join our Compliance team
The role is about more than parking enforcement. As a Parking Officer, you will play an important role in supporting safety, accessibility and amenity of our local streets and public spaces.
Through a balanced approach of education, engagement and regulation, you will help residents, ratepayers, business and visitors understand and comply with parking requirements while ensuring that fair and consistent enforcement

What you’ll do?
-
Investigate parking and general complaints
-
Conducting proactive patrols and reactive patrols throughout the LGA
-
Issuing warnings, infringement notices and other enforcement actions where appropriate.

Responding professionally and courteously to customer enquiries and concerns
-
Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports as required
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
-
Parking experience not essential, but desirable.

Demonstrated experience in a customer facing role with sound verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven skills in the use of MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Merit and an understanding of internal online portals.
- Proven ability to deal with sensitive issues and resolving issues in a professional manner.
- Ability to work am/pm shifts and regular weekend and PH shifts, on a 7-day roster.
- Class C drivers’ licence
