Job Summary
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled, dependable drywall professional who can handle the full scope of the trade — hanging, taping, finishing, and repair work. You'll work on residential projects, from new construction to patch-and-match repairs in occupied homes. If you take pride in smooth walls, crisp corners, and finishes that don't need touch-ups, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Measure, cut, and hang drywall on walls and ceilings, including around outlets, fixtures, and odd angles
- Tape, mud, and sand joints to a Level 4 or Level 5 finish as required
- Perform repair work: patching holes, matching existing textures, water damage repair, and crack remediation
- Apply textures (knockdown, orange peel, skip trowel, smooth) to match existing finishes
- Set up and maintain a clean, safe job site — including dust control and protecting customer property
- Work from ladders, scaffolding, and stilts as needed
- Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and crew members
- Estimate material needs and keep the job on schedule
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on drywall experience (hanging AND finishing)
- Strong texture-matching and patch-repair skills — repairs should disappear
- Own basic hand tools (taping knives, mud pan, utility knife, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, work overhead, and stay on your feet all day
- Punctual, professional, and comfortable working in customers' homes
- Able to work independently or as part of a crew
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Level 5 / smooth wall finishes
- Plaster repair experience
- Basic painting or trim carpentry skills
- OSHA 10 certification
