JROTC Instructor 2026-2027

JOB GOAL
To instruct students and establish procedures relating to the administration and control of students who are enrolled in the Junior ROTC program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree or higher within first 5 years as JROTC Instructor; JROTC Command Certification; must be honorably retired from the United States Military; experience working with youth preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational and leadership skills; and must be able to collaborate with district personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people; and meets health and physical requirements.

[NOTE: In those schools which have more than one counselor on staff, one guidance counselor should be in the guidance office at all times.]

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: kneeling, hearing, seeing, talking.
