Job Summary
The Resident Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in a supportive environment. This position involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. Nordicwoods is not a dementia certified assisted living.
Nordicwoods is looking for two part-time positions, with a combination of AM and PM shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to residents in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers within the community.
- Monitor and document residents' health and behavioral changes, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
- Follow resident care plan.
- Support residents by following the rights of medication administration.
- Foster a respectful and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and dignity among residents.
Skills
- Experience in direct support or home community care is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team member.
- Compassionate approach towards senior care and memory care practices.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those in your care.
