CLERK/TREASURER – VILLAGE OF ONTARIO
The Village of Ontario (pop. 534) is seeking a full-time municipal government professional to fill the position of Village Clerk-Treasurer. This position is the primary contact at the Village Office and will report to the Village President. This position is full – time, with some evening’s hours for meetings and elections. Candidates with a strong accounting background are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of municipal government operations preferred but will train. Benefits: Health Insurance, State Retirement, sick and vacation. Compensation: Wage will be determined by experience of candidate & discussed at time of interview.
Position involves statutory duties of Clerk and Treasurer, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, licensing, election administration, utility administration, budget, monthly financial reconciliation, and coordinating efforts of the Village Board and committees.
