Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using RF scanners and inventory management software to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Load and unload freight using heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to safety regulations and PPE protocols.
- Organize and stock materials efficiently within the warehouse, utilizing proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and stocking.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) like AS400 to update inventory records in real-time, supporting inventory management accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to perform inventory counts, conduct stock replenishment, and manage discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure all shipping & receiving procedures comply with OSHA standards and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Assist with packaging, order picking, order fulfillment, and preparing shipments for dispatch while maintaining high standards of quality control.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and RF scanners.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory control systems, and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (such as AS400) and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock counting and order picking.
- Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights, and verifying shipment details.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards and PPE use in a warehouse setting.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or materials handling roles is preferred but not required.
- Technical proficiency with material handling equipment operation combined with a strong commitment to safety protocol adherence.
