Pay: $23.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Midwest Glass & Mirror is seeking an experienced Lead Glass Installer to lead residential installation projects throughout Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works efficiently, and enjoys leading others while delivering outstanding customer service.
Please Note: This position requires prior hands-on field installation experience in residential glass, window, or closely related construction trades. Applicants without relevant installation experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential installation projects from start to finish.
- Install replacement windows, custom shower doors, mirrors, insulated glass units, and specialty glass products.
- Supervise and mentor an installer/helper on the job site.
- Read measurements accurately and ensure precise installations.
- Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and workmanship.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and team members.
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized.
- Complete installations efficiently while representing Midwest Glass & Mirror professionally.
This is a physically active position requiring daily lifting, carrying, climbing, and standing.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on field installation experience in residential glass installation, window installation, glazing, finish carpentry, or a closely related construction trade.
- Experience leading or directing a helper or small crew.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Preferred
- Experience installing custom shower doors, mirrors, replacement windows, or insulated glass.
- Glass industry experience.
