Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our dedicated team of somatically oriented, trauma focused therapist. We specialize in embodied treatment that integrates the mind body and spirit. The ideal candidate will be new graduated at the beginning stages of completing their hours. They will provide therapeutic support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including addiction, autism, PTSD, grief, and behavioral health issues. The Therapist will utilize a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address clients' mental health needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in therapy, including but not limited to addiction counseling, child family counseling, and dance therapy.
- Provide support for clients dealing with PTSD, grief, and other emotional challenges.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance treatment outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing research to stay informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices in the field of behavioral health.
- Foster a therapeutic relationship that encourages clients to express their thoughts and feelings openly.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in addiction counseling or working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred. Pre- and Post Doc licensed therapists are also welcome.
- Familiarity with PTSD care and grief counseling techniques is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and various age groups.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients quickly.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
