Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fabrication Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precision-engineered components through various fabrication processes. Duties
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutters, press brakes, CNC lathes, milling machines, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately produce parts.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect materials and finished products for quality assurance.
- Set up and program CNC machinery for precise cutting, shaping, and assembly of sheet metal and other materials.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques to join metal components securely.
- Conduct routine maintenance on fabrication equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Assist with assembly processes by fitting fabricated parts together according to specifications.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move heavy materials within the workspace.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, inspections, and quality checks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating fabrication machinery such as CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, or press brakes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
