Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and other mechanical parts of agricultural and construction machinery.
- Support senior technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, and equipment inspections.
- Learn to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for various machinery types.
- Participate in welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks necessary for equipment repair or modification projects.
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist with the installation or removal of large equipment components using hand tools and power tools.
- Help maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation for all repairs performed.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers.

Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an eagerness to learn heavy equipment mechanics principles.
- Familiarity with diesel engine diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience or interest in working with farm machinery, construction equipment, or industrial machinery maintenance.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when interpreting schematics or technical manuals.
- Good physical condition for heavy lifting, equipment handling, and working in various outdoor environments.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary.
