The Payroll & Accounting Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the company's UKG payroll system and related payroll technologies. This role ensures payroll system accuracy, data integrity, and compliance through hands-on system management, testing, and audit oversight.
The position is also responsible for reviewing and auditing user access across enterprise systems, including JD Edwards (JDE), AS400, and Carlisle, to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and compliance with internal controls. This role partners closely with Accounting, HR, IT, and Operations to maintain system reliability, improve payroll processes, and support reporting and compliance initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and maintain the UKG payroll system, including configuration, updates, and enhancements, as they relate to payroll processes.
- Execute system changes such as earnings codes, deductions, pay rules, workflows, and employee data structures.
- Manage payroll calendars, pay groups, and system processing configurations.
- Perform system testing for payroll processing, configuration changes, upgrades, and new functionality.
- Validate payroll calculations and ensure accuracy of gross-to-net processing.
- Audit payroll changes and maintain audit reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Review and monitor user access to JD Edwards (JDE) and other enterprise systems.
- Manage G/L set up and mapping between the payroll system and the ERP system (JDE).
- Ensure proper segregation of duties and compliance with security policies.
- Take on special enhancement projects with the ERP system.
- Develop and maintain payroll and audit reports.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to improve payroll processes and system functionality.
- Provide training and support to end users on payroll systems.
- Other duties as assigned or needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in payroll systems, payroll operations, or systems administration.
- Experience with UKG or similar payroll systems preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards (JDE) preferred.
